About The Garden at Spring Forest

Multicultural family-friendly events and festivals Educational events that connect people with the earth, animals, and one another Sabbatical stays for healers and helpers in need of respite Hands on support for refugee resettlement Work-share stays for creatives, earth-keepers, and healers Environmental and social justice activism and advocacy Spiritual, psychological, physical, and relational growth and healing Rest and renewal for body, mind, and soul Come to Spring Forest and EXPERIENCElife with us! A Farm-Based Monastic Community The Farm Farmastery is comprised of 34 acres of mixed hardwood and pine forest and a working, regenerative farm. Residents of the Farmastery help anchor the daily work, rhythms, and community life that happen on the land. The Monastery The monastic aspect of Spring Forest is expressed through a shared set of spiritual practices: prayer, work, table, neighbor, and rest. To draw an illustration from nature, Spring Forest in its entirety is like a forest of trees connected through mycelium, the hidden fungal network that branches, grows, and when it fruits, produces mushrooms. In the natural world, mycelial networks connect trees underground, allowing them to support one another, provide nutrients, protection, and more. Spring Forest in its entirety is a forest of diverse kinds of “trees” (companioning refugees, farming, teaching people contemplative practices, offering summer camps to kids, etc.), all of which are interwoven by the “mycelium” of our common set of spiritual and grounding practices: prayer, work, table, neighbor, and rest. Because we are a practice-based community, we are able to participate and revel in not only the diversity of “trees” but also human diversity, which we believe creates a fruitful community that is good for the world. Bringing together the many circles of friendship, spirituality, and service that are part of Spring Forest. Our Story

Farm + Forest Summer Camp At Spring Forest we greatly value your spiritual health, and hope to assist your journey--whether it be through community prayer, events, pastoral care, or providing the assistance of a spiritual director. We are here to help! As a community we have an ongoing creation and collection of prayers. We use these during our community morning prayers. Held M-F from 8:00-8:30 am ET Emailoffice@springforest.orgfor zoom link. Spring Forest is a practice-based community of faith, with our Rule of Life having five parts: prayer, work, table, neighbor, and rest. This set of common spiritual practices is our supportive structure that helps us discern how to focus our lives and resources. Being organized around practices rather than dogma also makes it possible to be an inclusive community where people from different backgrounds, spiritualities, and life settings can form friendships and work together for the common good. Pastoral care provides support during times of crisis or change. Spiritual direction provides support and companionship for the ongoing journey of faith. Spring Forest offers both ministries with teams of skilled and experienced professionals. For more information email us atspiritualformation@springforest.org. Life can be hard for anyone. Our team of pastoral care givers can provide trauma informed care. Contact us for more information or a referral. Spiritual direction is a ministry of companionship that can help us deepen our awareness of God's loving presence and guidance in our lives. Contact us to find out more or to receive a referral to one of our spiritual directors.
