Let us help you make your herd management decisions. The process starts with one of our QC certified field service technicians in your parlor. We record milk production and collect milk samples for each cow. Your data is then left with you and samples sent for analysis at one of our two certified laboratories. And if you choose to process your records we send your data to one of the DRPCs for processing. Let us help you make your herd management decisions. We offer milk and blood serum pregnancy testing for your cows or goats. We use the IDEXX Alertys tests to get you results the same day we receive your samples. The milk pregnancy is 98% accurate and the blood is 99% accurate. We deliver reliable results, that help you make early and confident decisions regarding your herd. We offer two types of testing to the tri-state area for your herd: owner sampler, test type 40, and DHIR official testing, test type 20. You or your tester complete the test day (record milk weights and collect samples) and ship them to one of our labs. We enter the data and analyze your samples. Results are then sent over to the DRPC to complete processing. From there the data is matched to the doe and then submitted to the CDCB. We work with all four major software programs to better serve you!For more information on these programs click on the logo below. You can now pay your balance with a credit card! We are for research that advances dairy technology and dairy herd management. Over the years, Texas DHIA has proudly helped many researchers and partnered with universities for various research projects. If you are looking to start a research project and wondering if we can help, please contact us. We recently teamed with researchers at the Texas Tech University Veterinary School in Amarillo, TX on a mastitis study. Texas DHIA is a producer-controlled cooperative association aimed at helping dairies across the state continue to progress and advance their herds. In 1967, our company began as the Texas Federation of Dairy Herd Improvement Associations, Inc. The idea began at Texas A&M University in College Station. The company was renamed to the Texas Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Inc. in 1975. After several years of success with the Texas A&M Extension system, the Texas DHIA moved to Stephenville. We continue to have a strong working relationship with Tarleton State University at our Stephenville main office and lab. Our second office and lab moved to the West Texas A&M University campus in 2004. In Canyon, we are able to work with the college resources to service the large dairies in the Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas. Currently we serve the tri-state area of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. What We DoWe test milk samples for various components for producers just like you. Our certified field service technicians come to your dairy, collect samples, and gather milk weights in the barn. The samples are then taken to one of our two lab locations to be analyzed for the components chosen by the producer. We offer full component testing, ketosis analysis for fresh cows, and MUN (milk urea nitrogen) at both of our laboratory locations. Our Canyon laboratory also tests for milk and serum pregnancy.
