Produce Farm
Poultry
Poultry: Cornish Cross, Poultry: Rhode Island Red
Our off-grid farm uses Sun "Shine" for power and a "Rain" collection pond to irrigate and water our crops and animals. We have a growing flock of Rhode Island Red layers in rotational pasturing, our hens are fed a Non-GMO layer pellet mixed with Non-GMO textured feed. The textured feed adds peas, sunflower, millet, clover, rye, and lentils to the pasture via the chickens. Cornish Cross chickens are raised on Non-GMO crumble for meat in the spring and fall. Our meat birds are pasture raised in open air runs, allowing them to enjoy scratching & exercising in the Sun. Geese are the Sheep of the Avian species, theyFREE RANGEthe farm weeding the nursery, greenhouses, and orchard. Their eggs are an incredible bonus to their hard work.
