About Powers Farm

Unlike conventional practices, we do not finish our beef in a feedlot setting. Instead, our cattle graze on pastures, enjoying a diet primarily composed of hay forages supplemented with a small amount of feed. Our feed is meticulously crafted from non-GMO corn grown right here on our farm, soybean meal, and a complete mineral pack. All of our beef is processed at Haass Family Butcher Shop, a USDA-inspected facility in Dover, Delaware, and undergoes a traditional dry aging process for a minimum of 21 days. Dry aging is a technique where beef is stored in a carefully controlled environment with precise temperature, humidity, and air circulation. During this process, natural enzymes break down connective tissue in the meat, resulting in enhanced tenderness and intensified flavor. We take pride in our transparent and ethical approach to animal care. Our cattle are never administered hormones or fed pre-medicated feeds. Antibiotics are only used sparingly and strictly for therapeutic purposes if an animal falls ill, and even then, we adhere to withdrawal periods and maintain detailed records. By prioritizing the health and well-being of our animals and practicing sustainable farming methods, we ensure that our beef is not only delicious but also raised with integrity. Our Mangalitsa cross pigs are raised in open pens, allowing them space to roam and express their natural behaviors. We believe in providing our pigs with the best possible diet to ensure their health and well-being. That's why we feed them a carefully balanced diet consisting of non-GMO corn grown right here on our farm, along with soybean meal and a complete mineral pack. At our farm, we uphold the highest standards of animal welfare and sustainability. We never use hormones, antibiotics, or any artificial additives in our feed. We believe that the natural flavor and quality of Mangalitsa pork speak for themselves, and we're committed to preserving that integrity. Mangalitsa pork is highly valued for its marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor profile. By raising Mangalitsa cross pigs with care and attention to their diet and environment, we ensure that every cut of pork from our farm is of the highest quality. We're proud to bring you pork that not only tastes exceptional but also reflects our commitment to ethical farming practices and superior meat production. We take pride in providing a comfortable and natural environment for our feathered friends. Our cage-free chickens enjoy ample space to move around, spread their wings, and engage in their natural behaviors. What sets us apart is our commitment to crafting nutritious feed from scratch. Our feed is made from non-GMO corn grown right here on our farm. We also incorporate high-quality ingredients such as alfalfa, marigold petals, and a balanced mineral pack to ensure our chickens receive the best nutrition possible. By allowing our chickens to enjoy a diet rich in natural ingredients, we promote their health and well-being, which in turn leads to higher-quality eggs that you can feel good about enjoying. We believe in ethical and sustainable farming practices, and our commitment to cage-free, open house systems and wholesome feed reflects that. powersfarm1@gmail.com(302) 378-0826 Sunday 12 pm-5pm (December-April) 324 Van Dyke Maryland Line Rd.
