About Mauna Kai Orchards
Mauna Kai Orchards is a family owned and operated farm located in the lush village of Honomu on the Big Island of Hawai'i The Hawaiian words "mauna" and "kai" translate to "mountain" and "sea" which describes the island region we call home. Nestled between the volcanic slopes of Mauna Kea and the bright blue Pacific Ocean, our farm benefits from cool trade winds, plentiful sun and frequent tropical rains; the perfect climate for growing lychee, mangosteen and cacao. We began transforming this sugar cane land into a thriving fruit orchard in 2009 with the help of dedicated ohana and friends. Today, we ship fresh lychee to the Hawaiian Islands, and look forward to our first mangosteen harvest in the very near future!
