Loch Haven Farm

Our dream of a farm started in the fall of 2004. We embarked upon this journey together, agreeing that a sustainable approach to raising animals as well as maintaining and preserving the land was our goal. We spent the next 9 years educating ourselves to prepare for making this dream a reality. We finally settled on a 22 acre farm located in Northwest Baltimore County. The rolling hills, gentile breezes and glorious views captured our hearts. Though a diamond in the rough, we saw tremendous potential. We were sold. We immediately set out to raise free-range and humanely-raised poultry, eggs, beef and pork on a smaller scale using heritage breeds. We believe in allowing all of our animals access to green pastures which allows them to live a healthy life versus confinement in a traditional "feed lot" concept. Their quality of life is more important than the quantity we could produce, keeping our commitment to their health and well-being above profit. We continue as a work in progress, adjusting and adapting to this new lifestyle. Each day is a blessing and a gift as we live our dream.......
