Our Story
Jeffrey R. Lee is the owner/operator of Lee's Bees. He describes himself as a "bee shepherd," moving his approximately 85 million bees throughout the year to find flowers for nectar. The bees travel to California for almond pollination in February, return to North Carolina for high-bush blueberries in March, and some go to Maine for low-bush blueberries in May, then to eastern North Carolina for cucumbers or Wisconsin for cranberries, all returning to North Carolina in July.
