Family farm, festivals, fresh local produce and much more Hinton’s Orchard & Farm Market is a family farm growing fresh fruits, flowers, and vegetables and providing fun family experiences.Fresh local produce is available April through November at both Hinton’s Orchard locations– the farm market in Hodgenville and the market in Elizabethtown. In addition to fruits, flowers, and vegetables, customers find a selection of homemade baked goods, gardening supplies, gifts, gourmet foods, and much more. The beginnings of Hinton’s Orchard trace back eight generations to the time that Jeremy Hinton’s first ancestors arrived inLaRueCounty and began to cultivate the land. Jeremy and Joanna Hinton started growing apples and peaches in 2002 upon leasing aLaRueCounty business institution, theTommy Bennett Orchards. Since that time, Hinton’s has expanded into vegetables, berries, flowers, Christmas trees.  The farm also producesburleytobacco andsoybeans. Visitors can enjoyagritourismopportunities which include picking your own strawberries and pumpkins, the large play area known as Hinton’sFarmLand, hay rides, corn mazes, and farm festivals celebrating Hinton’s main crops – strawberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins. Hinton’s Orchard is a member of the Kentucky Proudprogram which promotes Kentucky grown and produced productsand Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Certified Farm Market Program which promotes the state’s premier roadside farm markets.Hinton’s Orchard has been recognized by Elizabethtown families as the area’s top pumpkin patch and recently by Kentucky Living magazine’s readers as Best in Kentucky for Agritourism sites.
