You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout. Absolutely! We always aim to make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. Just email or call us directly and we’ll take you through the process. Certain items like 7 1/8" Frames, Migratory Covers, and Migratory Pallets are special orders, as they are Built To Order. Built To Order items will be specified clearly in the product description. These items can take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months to complete, depending on volume and availability. If you place an order, we recommend you email us for estimated shipping times. If you are interested in ordering large quantities (i.e. 100+ Frames, 20+ Covers, 5+ Pallets) we encourage you to email or call us before you place the order, so we can work with you to establish a time frame and expectations. We ship queens Mon-Thurs every week during the summer. If you place an order before noon, it is likely to ship that day, for Next Day Delivery (i.e. you place an order at 9:30AM on Tuesday, and your queen arrives on Wednesday) If you place your order in the afternoon, it will ship either that day or the next day. If you place an order after the shipping week (Fri-Sun) it will be held and shipped on Monday for Tuesday delivery. All queens will ship UPS Next Day Air. This is to help guarantee live delivery. (note: if you live in Wisconsin, queens may ship UPS Ground and still arrive next day) Queens are sold in 3-Hole Cages with candy and several attendant bees. Queen Cages will be fixed with hot glue inside a small UPS mini box with air holes. It will be delivered by UPS to the address of your choice just like a regular package. We recommend using the tracking number provided in your email when the queen ships, to help you be prepared to receive her. You can coordinate with your closest local UPS location, most will be willing to hold your queen for pickup, but always check with them first. Find out their address, and then input this address when you input shipping information. Please specify that this is a UPS location: (i.e. Name: *your name* Attention: UPS *store number if applicable* Address: *UPS location address* It is helpful for you to add in the order notes that this is shipping to a UPS location. We will put a note on your package to call you for pickup. Communicating with your local UPS is important, make sure they know when the queen is coming and when you are picking up. Live Queen Bees are available for pre-order from the beginning of Jan. until they are fully in stock. Queens usually start shipping in early/mid May depending on the season. We will send an email in the spring alerting you when we are starting to ship queens, and your queen will most likely be shipped within 1 day to 1 week of receiving that email. You will have an opportunity to reply to that email and ask to hold your queen for shipping on a specific date if the need arises. Hansen Honey Farm is a family-owned and operated business in northern Wisconsin, founded by Chris Hansen in 1998. It is run by Chris, his wife Jodie, and several of their daughters, continuing a tradition of third and fourth-generation beekeeping. They started as beekeepers and expanded to offer a full line of beekeeping supplies, local honey, and educational resources to their community and beyond.
