About Balance Rock Farm
Balance Rock Farm is a 5th generation family farm offering quality meats (some grass fed), eggs, and other locally sourced products including cheeses, ice cream, honey, maple syrup, jams, sauces, and coffee. They also provide manure and compost for home gardeners and landscapers, maintaining 140 acres in pasture and hay land.
Our Story
Balance Rock Farm is a 5th generation family farm with a history dating back to the 1800s, originally a cobbler shop. The Berry family maintained a diversified farm, which was later acquired by Fred Wheeler in 1942, who expanded milking operations. In 1994, they began direct marketing their milk, and around 2008, transitioned from dairy to raising meats and eggs. Today, Shane and Lynette Wheeler, along with their children, continue the family legacy.
